Steven L. Meyer has had overall responsibility for audit and assurance services at Maher & Company PC since 1996. Prior to joining Maher & Company PC, Mr. Meyer spent eleven years as an executive in the St. Louis office of the international accounting and consulting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP and also served as the chief financial officer of a construction company. At Deloitte, he served on that firm's national construction industry services steering committee and had quality control responsibility within the St. Louis audit practice.

Mr. Meyer wrote instructional chapters in the Handbook of Accounting and Auditing, a reference book used by certified public accountants across the country. His experience as a chief financial officer has given him business experience and perspective few certified public accountants acquire. He formerly served on the Minority Business Committee of the Associated General Contractors of America. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
