The Firm
Maher & Company has a diverse and prestigious clientele in the St. Louis Metropolitan area as well as throughout the United States. We are major providers of accounting and auditing, tax, valuation, business consulting, wealth management and information system services.
The Firm, founded in 1986, has grown throughout the years. Our personnel complement consists of four shareholders and more than twenty five professionals and support staff working from our office in Clayton, Missouri.
Since its inception, the firm has been dedicated to providing the highest caliber professional service to our clients. The issues our clients face are sometimes the same but often are very different. The shareholders and staff have been thoroughly trained to listen to each and every client. By listening we uncover opportunities others may not see.
The shareholders of the firm share the view that the growth and success our practice has enjoyed over the years is a result of our uncompromising commitment to the highest standards of quality and professionalism. Our staff development, communication and evaluation processes have fostered a culture of quality that is evident in every staff person and every client engagement and project that they perform.
As required by our membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, our Firm regularly undergoes a "peer review" of its accounting and auditing practice by an independent firm of certified public accountants. The system of peer review was instituted to ensure that participating firms have in place a functioning system of quality control. Our firm has always received unqualified opinions from peer reviews of our quality control systems which, we believe, is reflective of our commitment.
