David A. Guess is in charge of the Audit Services for financial institutions at Maher & Company PC. His areas of expertise include internal and external bank audits, loan review services, trust audits, compliance testing, compliance training and performing due diligence reviews in connection with mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Mr. Guess oversees the information technologies services provided by our subsidiary, Plaza Information Technologies, Inc. and is the firm authority on accounting software solutions.
Mr. Guess joined Maher & Company PC in 1988. He has extensive experience in planning supervision and review of audit engagement of financial institutions. He has performed due diligence reviews in connection with mergers and acquisitions and also developed strong compliance auditing skills. He also serves as the firm's representative in the Community Bank Advisors Network (CBAN). CBAN is a national association of CPA firms committed to providing local bank "state of the art" financial and technological solutions. Mr. Guess has served on the CBAN Board of Directors and is currently the organization's President.
Mr. Guess completed an intensive course of study offered by The Center for Management Advisors' Profit and Value Advantage course. These programs are designed to help CPA's maximize the profitability and value of their clients' businesses. After completing this course of study, he was accepted for membership in The Center for Management Advisors.
Mr. Guess received his B.S. from the University of Missouri. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
